    About this project

Our Watch is working in partnership with Tangentyere Council Aboriginal Corporation, who will lead the expansion of their Girls Can Boys Can project as part of an initiative to explore and expand ACCO-led, culturally safe, prevention practice in early years settings.

The evaluator will work with Tangentyere Council and Our Watch following clear ethical protocols. The evaluation plan will be developed in consultation with Tangentyere Council and their community advisory processes to ensure safe data collection and produce outputs that are useful and empowering for community members, educators, and policy stakeholders. All activities must be collaborative, centering the voices of local Aboriginal people, acknowledging their expertise, and upholding data sovereignty.

This project is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

Everyone working at or for Our Watch is responsible for the care and protection of children and young people who engage with our organisation and for reporting any child safety concerns. Read our Child Safe Statement here.

This project involves working with Early Childhood Education and Care settings and other community contexts and will involve contact with children.

The successful applicant will be required to:

    • provide evidence of current Working with Children Checks for all staff involved in the project
    • hold a current Ochre Card (NT Working with Children Check) or obtain one
